Issue seven of this twelve-part 2006 DC series hits an emotional nerve right on its cover, where Ion — glowing with eerie green energy — hovers outside a storefront window as a crowd of alarmed civilians reacts with shock and fear below. The tagline "You Can't Go Home Again" says it all, framing this street-level scene with quiet dread as familiar faces in the crowd stare up at someone they clearly recognize but no longer feel safe around. Kalman Andrasofszky's cover work captures that tension beautifully, and with Ron Marz writing alongside Greg Tocchini and Jay Leisten on interiors, this penultimate stretch of the series carries real weight.
