Invaders #4
The cover of Invaders #4 promises to pull back the curtain on "the secret history of the Sub-Mariner," and Butch Guice's artwork makes that intrigue feel genuinely weighty — a civilian-clothed Namor strides forward alongside a bald, stern-faced companion, while spectral images of Namor through the ages swirl behind them: the classic trunks-clad Atlantean king, a winged-ankle version brandishing a trident, and a darker, modern incarnation in tactical gear. It's a striking visual layering of one character's many faces across decades, and with Chip Zdarsky writing alongside artists Carlos Magno and Butch Guice, "War Ghosts Part IV" feels like a series firing on all cylinders. Fans of Captain America, Namor, and the Winter Soldier will find plenty to chew on here.
