Intersect #6

Ray Fawkes's Intersect concludes its run with a cover that feels like a fever dream rendered in watercolor — two translucent human faces merge and overlap within the sweeping, spotted wings of a butterfly, the figures barely distinguishable from the delicate veining of the wings themselves. It's a quietly haunting image that captures the series' preoccupation with identity, transformation, and the blurring of boundaries between self and other. If you've been following this Image series through 2015, issue #6 is a fittingly ethereal send-off.
