Injection #6
Injection #6 opens the series' second arc with one of the most unsettling dinner-party images you'll find in 2016 comics. Declan Shalvey's cover presents an eerily composed figure in a dark suit and red tie, standing before a pedestal table bearing a crown roast of bones, carving knife in one hand and sharpening steel in the other — folded napkins arranged around him like place settings at the world's most ominous meal. Warren Ellis, Shalvey, and colorist Jordie Bellaire continue their collaboration here, and that deep crimson palette washing through the arched window behind the figure sets a tone that is equal parts formal and deeply wrong.
