Ted McKeever's painted cover for this third chapter of his five-part DC/Vertigo series sets a distinctly unsettling tone — a pale, red-haired woman reclines in an ornate chair, her dark gloves and disheveled clothing contrasting with her ghostly skin, while a looming tangle of industrial machinery fills the blue-shadowed background behind her.
