Serving as the Khan's ambassador to China and Burma, Marco is recalled and sent to India to fetch the Magic Tooth of the God Buddha. On the journey he sees the riches of the East and returns with the prize to the Khan. In 1288 the King of Persia sent a request for a Chinese bride, and the Polo family were the only men brave enough to take the lovely princess. The Khan pleaded for them to return when they were done. Following two years at sea, they arrived unhurt at Persia. Where hearing of the Khan's death they chose to go home through Turkey and Constantinople where they took ship to Venice.
