“Warbound -- Part V”

Part of Marvel's 2007 "World War Hulk" event, this fifth chapter of "Warbound" delivers a cover by Gary Frank that puts the Jade Giant front and center — massive, snarling, and low to the ground in a combat crouch, a heavy metallic shackle on one wrist and a destroyed cityscape stretching out behind him. Onlookers crowd the background, including a striking blonde figure watching the chaos unfold, giving the scene an uneasy human scale against the Hulk's overwhelming presence. Greg Pak's script, brought to life by penciler Carlo Pagulayan, inker Jeffrey Huet, and colorist Chris Sotomayor, promises the same raw intensity radiating off every line of Frank's cover.
