Imperial #2
This Image Comics series brings a grounded, human touch to superhero storytelling, and Mark Dos Santos's cover for issue #2 sets that tone beautifully. The artwork — rendered in a restrained, almost monochromatic palette — shows three figures mid-stride: a young man in a sharp suit pulling urgently forward, a woman in a flowing white dress being dragged along behind him, and a powerful older figure wearing a crown and cape bringing up the rear with a commanding presence. There's real tension and momentum in the composition, hinting at a story where ordinary life and extraordinary responsibility are very much in collision.
