Im Schatten des Neumonds #10
The tenth chapter of Im Schatten des Neumonds arrives with a cover by Philippe Adamov that is hard to look away from — a crumbling, organic tower dominated by a massive clock face, from which a winged, teal-skinned cherub-like figure emerges with outstretched wings, while a robed figure watches from above. "Die Kreise der Zeit" ("The Circles of Time") promises a story steeped in surreal, time-haunted imagery, and Adamov's densely textured artwork gives the whole scene a dreamlike, unsettling weight. Patrick Cothias and the creative team have built something genuinely atmospheric here, and this 2000 comicplus+ edition is a fine entry point into one of European comics' more visually adventurous series.
