The fourth volume of Makyo and Calore's historical series brings "De lichtheid van de wereld" — a beautifully rendered cover by Alessandro Calore that places a young sword-bearing man and a dark-haired woman together before a worn stone tower, goats grazing in the misty background beneath a brooding sky. The imagery evokes the persecuted Cathar world of medieval southern Europe with real atmosphere and quiet tension. A compelling entry in this richly painted 2012 Dutch-language series.
