Äidit #[nn]
Published in 1990 by the Finnish Art House imprint, Äidit brings Claire Bretécher's sharp, warmly human cartooning to Finnish readers, with translation support from Soile Kaukoranta and lettering by Eki Kukkonen. Bretécher both writes and draws — handling her own inks on the cover as well — bringing her distinctive hand to every line of the story "Grigri." A lovely slice of Bretécher's celebrated work on parenthood and everyday life, rendered with the wit and economy that made her one of Europe's most beloved cartoonists.
