In the second story, two children debate whether to pull out a loose tooth after one receives three dollars from his mother for dental work, ultimately deciding to extract it themselves, though the narrator later learns how to pull teeth without pain. Additionally, the comic features "Aunt Tillie and the Jerkwater Line," in which Aunt Tillie boards a train at Blizzard's Crest Elevation 6000 ft., and railroad workers discuss giving Smedley a pet rabbit in a caboose.
