This 48-page 1991 DC special throws Christopher Chance — master of disguise and human decoy — front and center, literally staring down the barrel of a gun aimed straight at the reader. Rick Burchett and Dick Giordano's cover cleverly frames him within a red target, surrounded by a gallery of faces representing his many assumed identities, while action vignettes and a swamp airboat scene hint at the dangerous world he navigates. Timed to coincide with an upcoming ABC-TV adaptation, this is a fine jumping-on point for Mark Verheiden's "The Mack Attack Contract.
