Hulk #8/1980
In "Vendigos skjebne," the Hulk seeks solitude in the Canadian wilderness, only to be pulled toward a hidden cave by forces beyond his understanding. There, he encounters Marie, sister of the man who became the Wendigo, and her brother Georges, who believe they can use the Hulk’s strength to reverse the curse that turned their brother into a monster. As Marie’s magic falters and the Wendigo awakens, the Hulk stirs from his trance—just as a new threat emerges in the form of Wolverine, dispatched by the Canadian government to deal with the latest Hulk sighting.
In "Og nå, kjære Hulk-venner ... kommer Ulvemannen," the Hulk joins forces with Canadian super-agent Wolverine to confront the terrifying Wendigo. As the beast falls, the alliance fractures when Wolverine turns on the Hulk, igniting a brutal clash between the two. Meanwhile, Marie presses forward with her plan to transfer the Wendigo’s power to the Hulk, but the weight of guilt over Paul Cartier’s transformation drives his best friend Georges to take matters into his own hands—leading to a shocking transformation that changes everything.
