Hulk #55
Mayan Rule" reaches its third chapter with a cover that pulls no punches — Red Hulk sprawls across an elaborately carved Mayan stone surface, a massive serpent coiling menacingly above him while a small, eerie figure floats nearby. Dale Eaglesham's pencils give the scene real weight and texture, with the ancient glyphs beneath Red Hulk making it clear that something far older and stranger than your average smash-fest is at work here. Jeff Parker's 2012 run continues to dig into mythological territory, and this issue looks like it's delivering exactly the kind of pulpy, atmospheric adventure the premise promises.
