Mayan Rule: Part 2" continues in this 2012 Marvel series, with Dale Eaglesham's cover capturing a fierce standoff between the Red Hulk and a smaller green figure he clutches protectively — or perhaps forcibly — while a massive, skull-faced being wreathed in fire and smoke looms behind them. The tension between those two hulking forces crackles right off the page, with Eaglesham rendering every muscle and flame with real intensity. Jeff Parker's story promises the kind of mythic-scale conflict the cover so vividly sets up.
