In "Jo mer ting endrer seg ...", the merged Hulk and Banner struggle within the same body as the scientist fights to emerge and end his life, forcing the Hulk to defend him. Trapped at Gamma Base, the Hulk breaks free and flees toward Samson's nutrient bath, pursued by Ross, who sabotages the cure equipment—leading to a violent chain of events when Rick intervenes and is thrown into the tank. The Hulk plunges into the bath, emerging briefly as a grey Hulk before collapsing back into Banner, leaving the outcome uncertain.

In the wake of a fallen Hulkbuster’s funeral, tensions flare between Bruce Banner’s allies and his old associates at Gamma Base. With Banner under watch by Samson and SHIELD, a sudden breakout sees the Hulk seemingly escaping—only for SHIELD to discover a new, unknown Hulk seizing Banner and vanishing into the unknown.
