Howard the Duck #11

Howard the Duck is in full curmudgeon mode here, buried in a "Super Classifieds" newspaper while the chaotic waiting room around him overflows with Marvel's finest — Spider-Man dangling upside-down from the ceiling, a heavily armored warrior near the filing cabinets, a tattooed woman, a silver-haired lady on the phone, a cat sniffing around, a pet carrier labeled "Biggs," and what appears to be a green, tentacled something crowding the left edge. Joe Quinones's cover art is a masterclass in comedic ensemble staging, packing an absurd amount of personality into one cramped office scene without ever losing its warm, lived-in charm. With Chip Zdarsky's signature wit guiding the series, issue #11 promises the kind of gleefully offbeat storytelling that makes Howard the Duck one of 2016's most entertaining corners of the Marvel Universe.
