House of M: Masters of Evil #2

The second issue of this 2009 Marvel limited series ties into the House of M universe with a cover by Mike Perkins that commands immediate attention — a snarling, clawed figure looms in close-up, six adamantium blades fanned out before his face while figures including a skull-insignia-bearing warrior and a gun-wielding combatant flank him in the background. Writer Christos Gage and artist Manuel Garcia continue "Unity," a story that already promises plenty of menace given that lineup of dangerous personalities assembled behind those gleaming claws. It's a striking package for fans of Marvel's darker corner of the House of M tapestry.
