Hourman #15
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeHourman rockets straight toward the reader in this June 2000 issue, clutching an enormous torpedo-like device while a ring of massive, grinning skull-faced figures looms ominously in the background — all of it set against the cheerful irony of a "Welcome to Happy Harbor" sign below. Rags Morales's cover (pencils and inks both his own) delivers a wonderfully tense contrast between that sunny small-town marquee and the supernatural threat bearing down on the android hero. With Tom Peyer writing and Rags Morales on interior art, "Friend of the Devil" looks like exactly the kind of story that made this series a rewarding corner of the DC Universe in 2000.
