Hot Stuff, the Little Devil #63

Harvey Comics' pint-sized imp is caught completely off guard on this charming 1964 cover by Warren Kremer — Hot Stuff is fast asleep on a fluffy pink-and-purple cloud, his little trident dangling below while a smiling sun peeks out in the background. Two cheerful blue birds perch on the trident, singing away with musical notes floating all around them, blissfully unbothered by their napping red neighbor. It's a delightfully peaceful scene for a devil, and a fine showcase of the warm, playful style that made Harvey Comics a staple of 1960s newsstand racks.
