Hospital Nurse Picture Romances #64
In "Lifeline," a quiet moment between nurse Maureen and one of her patients takes an unexpected turn when the patient gifts her a small statue of an Egyptian king before her holiday. The gesture seems harmless—until Maureen’s absence coincides with a sudden relapse in the patient, who confides in Sally but insists on secrecy. As tensions rise in the hospital, questions emerge about who among the patients is truly ill, and whether the statue’s presence holds more than just sentimental value. Cover by ORTSAC, lettered in typeset.

Just before Maureen is to leave on a week's holiday, one of her patients gives her a small statue of an Egyptian king to take with her, which she claims will give Maureen good luck on her journey. When the patient has a relapse after Maureen leaves, she confides in Sally but makes her promise not to tell anyone why she is so distraught. Meanwhile, suspicions mount that one of the other patients isn't really sick at all.
