Horseman #5
In "Light," the fifth issue of Horseman, written and illustrated by Larry Johnson, the enigmatic protagonist finds himself entangled in a surreal chain of encounters that blur the line between reality and the uncanny. From a lighthouse to the ocean depths, then beneath a graveyard, Horseman’s journey unfolds through strange, alien-like figures and shifting forms—each revelation more puzzling than the last. The cover by Larry Johnson captures the eerie, otherworldly tone of a story where light and shadow hold secrets deeper than the sea.

Walking by a lighthouse, Horseman is captured by aliens who can shoot light rays from their ball-shaped heads (resembling their spaceship). Horseman escapes into the ocean where he encounters an octopus with a head like the aliens have. In a graveyard near the ocean, Horseman is pulled underground by skeletons who also have heads like the aliens. A stone building within the graveyard is transformed into a giant Horseman by a female ghost holding a device similar to the alien head. A blue centaur creates a blue eight-armed horseman using the light ray from his alien ball-shaped head.
