This anthology issue contains at least two stories. "Hirschel's Hair" follows a reporter and a detective investigating a satchel taken from a crime scene, which leads them to artist Eric Gilmans' house; the trail takes a supernatural turn when they discover that Gilmans possesses a mysterious creature that requires phosphorous to survive, and the artist has been feeding it to keep himself alive. A second story involves a worker named Carroll who encounters a grotesque creature in a sewer outlet and becomes its unwilling host, with the being growing larger as it feeds on him while he struggles against its control.

In this inaugural story, a young chemist named Walker survives a devastating laboratory explosion only to discover he's been transformed into something far more than human, cursed with the ability to read minds and witness secrets not meant for mortal eyes. When his newfound powers lead him to an antiques dealer trafficking in dark magic and stolen years, Walker must grapple with the burden of knowledge and the question of whether even a superhuman being can alter the fate of others.

Her fiancé Detective Jim Young and his partner must race to save her before the ancient evil claims another victim.

Sewer Horror

When a bitter sewer worker named Carroll is confronted by the creature in the depths below the city, he's forced into a horrifying bargain: lure unsuspecting victims to feed the beast, and he'll be rewarded with wealth and power. But as Carroll's greed and obsession spiral out of control, his monstrous partnership begins to crumble, leading to a reckoning neither human nor creature anticipated.
