DC's Hollywood Funny Folks delivers the kind of gag that practically writes itself: on the cover of issue #51, a bandage-wrapped rabbit leaning on a crutch proudly declares he did a 2,000-foot parachute jump without the parachute, much to the exasperated disbelief of his dapper, top-hat-wearing companion. It's the sort of absurdist, slapstick humor that made these 1953 DC funny-animal books a genuine delight, and at a dime a copy, it was hard to argue with the value of a good laugh.
