The cover story focuses on Kid Eternity, who must use all his powers to stop a runaway river boat. Inside, there is a humorous story about Marmaduke, a character who comes to work on a lion's farm and initially balks at the harsh labor required. Another story depicts a woman in a checkered outfit who encounters a barracuda and becomes involved in various confrontations, including being beaten by a man and later slapping a girl during what appears to be a nightclub or social gathering scene.
Kid Eternity and Mr. Keeper board a romantic showboat adventure when a young woman and her sweetheart flee her villainous stepfather, only to find themselves caught in a dangerous situation that demands Kid call on history's greatest figures for help. With the future Mrs. Todd hanging in the balance and sinister forces closing in, this 1946 tale puts Kid's connection to the legends of the past to the ultimate test.
Marmaduke Mouse finds himself desperate for work and accepts a job on Louie the Lion's farm, where a simple task of carrying eggs goes hilariously wrong. When a notorious egg thief named Escobar arrives to steal Louie's prized golden-egg-laying duck, Marmaduke must spring into action to protect both the bird and the treasure. This silly farm caper unfolds with slapstick mayhem, unexpected heroics, and a reward that finally gets our hungry mouse what he's been after all along.
