Hilo #4
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis fourth volume in the Hilo graphic novel series continues the adventures of the robot boy Hilo and his friends as they face new monstrous threats. Collecting the story arc where mysterious creatures begin awakening, the book follows Hilo, D.J., and Gina as they uncover more about Hilo's origins and the dangers from his home world. Written and illustrated by Judd Winick, this installment balances action, humor, and emotional growth for its young heroes.
In "Chapter 1 Whoa," Hilo—still unknown beneath his full suit of armor—rises as the mysterious superhero the Comet after defeating a colossal robot turtle. As giant mechanical threats multiply, Hilo takes up the mantle alone, until a double assault forces his friends to step in: Izzy crafts a suit for Gina, who channels magic from Polly’s dimension to join the fight. Written and illustrated by Judd Winick, with colors by Steve Hamaker, and a cover by Judd Winick, this issue blends high-stakes action with the quiet wonder of discovery, all in a 13.99 USD (18.99 CAD) package.

Since Hilo was wearing a complete suit of armor when he defeated the giant robot turtle, no one knows who he was, and he is quickly proclaimed as a superhero dubbed the Comet. More and more giant robots appear, and Hilo (as the Comet) fights them all. When two appear at once, Izzy makes a suit of armor for Gina, who goes to fight using magic learned from Polly in another dimension.
