The third chapter of Turf's Het narrenschip carries a quietly unsettling mood right from its cover: a lone figure in a red-polka-dotted jester's costume picks their way across a snow-covered battlement, leaving fresh footprints in the white, while a dramatic shadow — suggesting an unseen pursuer — stretches across the foreground and a lone black feather rests on the snow below. Looming to the left, a vast, frost-blue castle bristles with spires and turrets against a star-scattered night sky, dwarfing the solitary fool on the wall. With every element — art, color, line — the work of Turf alone, this 2016 Daedalus release titled "Storingen" promises a story steeped in wintry tension and theatrical strangeness.
