The fourth chapter of Turf's Het Narrenschip arrives with a cover that's hard to look away from: a massive, weathered steam locomotive sits marooned in a flooded urban landscape, surrounded by half-submerged cars and debris, while a small figure in a rabbit costume drifts calmly past in a wooden rowboat. Turf's richly detailed linework and moody color palette make the surreal collision of the industrial and the absurd feel strangely plausible. "Werk aan de winkel" — roughly "work to be done" — promises plenty of it in this 2016 continuation of the series.
