Heroes for Hire #2
The second issue of Marvel's 1997 Heroes for Hire revival wastes no time throwing its team into the thick of it — the cover by Pascual Ferry and Jaime Mendoza depicts a silver-armored figure launching a fierce kick, Iron Fist in his green-and-gold costume reeling from the impact, and a wild-haired energy-powered figure blazing in the background, all set against a scorching yellow explosion. The corner box teases the full roster, hinting at the depth of talent John Ostrander is working with across the series. Titled "Blowup!", this issue promises the kind of kinetic, no-holds-barred action that makes Heroes for Hire one of the more energetic team books Marvel had to offer that year.
