The setting is post-WWIII, and Hercules frees himself from the chains that have bound him for centuries to a rock in the middle of the ocean. He meets a blind boy, Kevin, and his dog Basil, who have fled the terrors of war. Hercules vows vengeance against his captor and brother, Ares, God of War, who is deeply involved with Earth's warring factions.
