A cheerful slice of postwar humor from Harvey's Hello Buddies #38, this 100-page digest of cartoons, jokes, and fun delivers plenty of laughs for 25 cents. Jimmy Campbell's cover art sets the tone perfectly: a dark-haired woman in a red strapless outfit pores over a spread of men's portraits at a dressing-room counter, while two bemused showgirls look on — all punctuated by the sly gag, "She believes in that old saying, 'Every man for herself.'" Writer and artist Si Kurtzman contributes to the interior fun with "Wife Examines Her Husband's Pockets," making this a wonderfully compact package of 1948 comedy.
