Part of Marvel's sweeping X of Swords crossover event, this 2021 issue drops the Hellions into what the cover makes unmistakably clear: very bad shape. Stephen Segovia's cover art presents a looming, pale-skinned figure with burning orange eyes standing triumphant over a pile of battered, unconscious teammates — several recognizable Hellions strewn across rocky terrain alongside what appears to be a massive mechanical figure to the left. With writing by Zeb Wells and interior art by Carmen Carnero and colorist David Curiel, this chapter of the saga promises the kind of high-stakes, team-breaking tension that makes X of Swords such a compelling ride.
