Hellions #17

The cover of Hellions #17 says a lot with a single striking image: a massive armored figure in purple-and-silver plating charges forward through a storm of energy blasts and crumbling debris, cradling a wide-eyed green-skinned figure protectively in one arm. Stephen Segovia's artwork — colored with real intensity by Rain Beredo — packs the composition with cascading sparks and fractured rock, giving the whole thing an urgent, almost frantic momentum. Zeb Wells's "Trauma Response" sounds like it lives up to that title, and this 2022 Marvel issue promises exactly the kind of chaotic, high-stakes energy that makes Hellions one of the Krakoan era's most unpredictable titles.
