Hellcop #3

The third issue of Image Comics' Hellcop delivers a striking cover from Brian Haberlin and colorist Geirrod Van Dyke: a blonde, glasses-wearing agent crouches atop the back of a massive, hulking creature — gun raised and pointed — silhouetted against a brooding golden sky and distant mountains. The sheer scale between the determined figure and the lumbering beast beneath her says plenty about the kind of world this series inhabits. Part sci-fi procedural, part something far stranger, Hellcop continues to look like one of Shadowline's most visually ambitious offerings of 2022.
