Part three of "Dangerous Habits" arrives with a cover by Tom Canty that layers unease onto a seemingly tranquil parkland scene — a horse-drawn carriage rolling along a tree-lined path, a figure seated nearby, and a towering, grotesquely decorated column looming against a smoky sky. Dominating the upper left, a disembodied face stares out with wide, haunted eyes, torn free from the background as if reality itself is coming apart at the seams. Garth Ennis, Will Simpson, and Malcolm Jones III continue their collaboration on John Constantine's world, and this 1991 issue suggests that even the most civilized settings hold something deeply wrong just beneath the surface.
