Part six of "The Smokeless Fire" arrives with one of the sharpest covers of 2017 — artist Tula Lotay renders John Constantine coolly sipping a cocktail, cigarette in hand, while vivid flames engulf the scene around him and a second figure is consumed below. The framing-within-a-frame composition, ringed by runic symbols, gives the whole image a hypnotic, almost ritualistic tension that suits Constantine's world perfectly. Simon Oliver, Davide Fabbri, José Marzán Jr., and Carrie Strachan bring this DC Universe Rebirth chapter home with exactly the kind of moody, stylish energy the series deserves.
