The title's numbering was inherited through a chain of Timely retitlings: All Winners Comics became All Teen Comics with issue #20, was briefly revived as All Winners Comics #21 (using the Young Allies Comics numbering), and then became Hedy De Vine Comics with #22 — a standard postal-registration workaround common at the time. The cover and primary story art are credited to Ed Winiarski and Christopher Rule, but the writers for this debut issue remain unidentified, a situation typical of Timely's humor line where creative credits were rarely logged. The series ran fourteen issues under the Hedy De Vine Comics banner before being retitled Hedy of Hollywood with issue #36. Marvel's copyright on the issue was formally renewed on April 28, 1975.
