The second chapter of Brian Azzarello's Vertigo mini-series arrives with a cover by Glenn Fabry that's hard to look away from: a massive, masked luchador-type figure looms over a kneeling masked man, while a startled redheaded woman in clown-like makeup recoils in the corner — all set against a wall plastered with unsettling clown imagery. That tagline, "He brought home the bacon… she brought home something else!" sets a darkly comic tone that feels perfectly at home in Vertigo's 1999 lineup.
