Marian decides that she can't lie to provide Liz with an alibi for Bud Troy's murder. Sergio is furious that she won't protect his sister and breaks his engagement to Marian. As the guests gather for Marian's engagement party, Sandy tells Tod that he can't blackmail her any more because she now knows who really killed Bud. Marian dreads telling everyone that the engagement is over, but at the last minute, Sergio shows up and apologizes to her, asking for forgiveness.
