This anthology issue features "Jungle Sleuth," a true police case involving a murder on a small tropical island called Trinac in the Pacific. A man named Brock is found dead, and a visitor named Fritz becomes the prime suspect; however, detective work involving ballistic evidence—specifically lint from a man's pocket containing traces of cherry trees, which do not grow on the island—ultimately reveals the true murderer and exonerates Fritz. The issue also includes a lead story about police capturing criminals involved in racketeering, and concludes with a novelty mail-order advertisements section.
