A shirtless Hawkman kneels in anguish at center — wings spread, hands clasped behind his head — while a looming green-tinted villain's face dominates the background alongside the ghostly silhouettes of what appear to be allies or adversaries. Ryan Sook's cover for this April 2005 issue uses a striking red-and-green palette to make the story arc title "Sick in the Head" feel viscerally apt. With Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti writing and Joe Bennett on interior art, this is a compelling chapter in one of DC's most enduring hero sagas.
