Hawkman #30

Hawkgirl dominates this striking 2004 cover, wings spread wide and weapons in both hands, positioned defiantly in front of a "WANTED" poster bearing Hawkman's stern, masked face. The image does a terrific job of placing the two Hawks at the center of escalating trouble, with Hawkgirl's green-and-gold costume popping sharply against the weathered brick wall behind her. With pencils by Greg Land and inks by Jay Leisten, plus a creative team of Palmiotti, Justin Gray, and Ryan Sook handling the interior, this third chapter of "Fate's Warning" promises plenty of momentum heading into the finale.
