Charlton's Baron Weirwulf's Haunted Library delivers another dose of creeping dread with issue #33, December 1977. Joe Staton's cover art packs the frame with a menagerie of grotesque, colorful monsters — pink, red, blue, and green creatures with gnashing teeth and grasping claws — closing in on a lone, oblivious figure who thinks to himself, "I wish I could shake this feeling!" It's a wonderfully unsettling setup for Joe Gill and Pete Morisi's interior tale, "Summer People!", promising exactly the kind of eerie fun Charlton did so well.
