Harrow County #10
Cullen Bunn and Tyler Crook's rural horror series continues with this tenth installment, as a wide-eyed young figure crouches in a dim, crowded space — candlelight in hand — surrounded by shelves packed with sealed mason jars, each one harboring a pair of glowing yellow eyes staring back from the dark. The unsettling intimacy of that image, something living and watchful preserved in glass just inches from an unguarded face, captures exactly why Harrow County has earned praise like Matt Kindt's cover quote: "This is how you do horror in comics." Tyler Crook's atmospheric cover art makes the ordinary deeply threatening, and "The Butcher" promises more of the deeply felt, Southern-gothic dread this series does so well.
