The second chapter of Grant Morrison and Darick Robertson's four-part Image series delivers one of 2012's most unsettling holiday images: a gaunt, weathered figure in a battered Santa hat hauls an enormous burlap sack — and if you look closely, a single eye peers out from within it. Robertson's cover linework is meticulous and deeply expressive, wringing genuine dread from what should be a festive silhouette. It's a quiet, confident piece of cover art that says more with its back turned than most covers manage face-forward.
