Hanada Le Garnement #3

This first volume from Ki-oon's Kizuna imprint introduces Hanada, the irrepressible little scamp whose enormous straw hat and sly, squinting grin fill the cover with immediate warmth and mischief. Makoto Isshiki renders the boy in a soft, sun-baked palette — white tunic, woven basket slung at his side, lush greenery stretching out behind him — that gives the whole thing a breezy, rural charm. If that self-satisfied smirk is any indication, Hanada is already plotting something delightful.
