Halo: Escalation #12

A roaring chase through a narrow canyon sets the tone for this penultimate arc issue of Dark Horse's Halo: Escalation — the cover by Anthony Palumbo captures an armored Covenant Elite astride a Ghost, energy crackling in hand, with a second Ghost bearing down close behind through the tight rock passage. Writer Duffy Boudreau, artist Douglas Franchin, and inkers Rob Lean and Denis Freitas bring the tension of the Halo universe to the page with a creative team clearly hitting its stride in 2014. Fans of high-velocity sci-fi action will find plenty to draw them in.
