Hadrian's Wall #4
Issue four of Kyle Higgins and Alec Siegel's sci-fi noir series turns up the tension with a cover that puts a spacesuit-clad figure front and center — their cracked visor revealing a single wary eye staring back at the viewer. Looming above is a striking red fist clutching what appears to be a syringe, surrounded by a ring of ominous triangular symbols that hint at something darker beneath the surface. Rod Reis's moody, painterly artwork gives the whole image a cold, pressurized dread that makes Hadrian's Wall one of Image's more atmospheric offerings of 2016.
