Hack/Slash: Resurrection #9

There's something delightfully off about this diner scene — Cassie Hack sips a milkshake across from Vampirella nursing what appears to be a very red drink, while a hulking, scarred figure looms in the booth behind them, and a bloodied knife rests casually on the counter. The crossover between two of horror's most enduring heroines gets a quietly tense, almost noir treatment in this 2018 Image issue, with Tim Seeley's cover pencils giving the whole tableau a deceptively cozy veneer. Fans of monster hunting with style will find plenty to appreciate in this unlikely diner rendezvous.
